In line with its strategy, the Bank is seeking talented, dedicated, and experienced professionals for the following positions in the area of Aitemaad Islamic Banking based at Karachi.
The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following positions:
01. Position / Job Title: Regional Executive – Internal Control (AVP / VP)
Reporting to:
Divisional Head – Internal Control OPG
Educational / Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC.
- Master’s degree and/or Islamic Banking certification/degree/diploma will be preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 08 years of banking experience, out of which at least 03 years in implementing internal controls and compliance frameworks to ensure regulatory requirements and process integrity.
- Preference for candidates with experience in internal control, compliance, or audit.
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Well conversant with SBP Prudential Regulations.
- Knowledge of banking policies, products, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and databases.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Business acumen and awareness in accordance with market needs.
Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Implement internal controls and compliance frameworks across the region.
- Identify and rectify internal control shortcomings at branches.
- Coordinate corrective action plans with branches for audit findings.
- Advise branches on regulatory developments and compliance issues.
- Coordinate branches for regulatory reporting (e.g., STR, CTR, FATCA).
- Supervise account opening and maintain liaison with CAPU-OPG.
- Serve as Regional Risk Coordinator for operational risk mitigation.
- Develop operational procedures, training staff, and improving systems.
- Coordinate with SBP inspection, internal & external audits.
- Monitor rectification of audit observations.
- Conduct internal training for compliance and control awareness.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Report and follow-up on internal control activities and findings.
- Perform any other assignment assigned by supervisors.
02. Position / Job Title: Relationship Manager Corporate (OG-I / AVP)
Reporting to:
Unit Head – Corporate
Educational / Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent in Finance / Accounting / Economics from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC.
- Master’s degree and/or Islamic Banking certification/degree/diploma (DAIBP) will be preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 03 years of banking experience as Relationship Manager/Relationship Associate/Relationship Officer/Credit Officer in Corporate/Commercial/SME Assets.
- Preference for candidates with understanding of financial analysis (e.g., Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss).
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
- People management skills.
- Knowledge of banking products, policies, and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Good understanding of Islamic banking products and procedures.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Expand and manage corporate portfolios to meet revenue and profit targets.
- Develop new corporate customers; conduct periodic site visits and submit reports.
- Structure and market tailored financing products to corporate clients.
- Conduct due diligence and assessments.
- Prepare financing proposals ensuring data integrity and appropriate risk-adjusted returns.
- Comply with all regulatory and internal policies.
- Coordinate with Shariah Compliance and internal auditors.
- Collaborate with Credit Administration for issuance of certificates and smooth operations.
- Maintain and update credit files.
- Take measures to prevent and reduce non-performing loans (NPLs).
- Assist in client financing assessment and documentation.
- Keep updated with SBP PRs, Foreign Exchange Manual, NBP Credit Policy Manual, etc.
- Create, update, and use MIS/reports.
- Assist in managing the Corporate and SME portfolio.
- Build effective and mutually beneficial relationships.
- Perform any other assignment assigned by supervisors.
Assessment Test / Interview(s):
- Only shortlisted candidates strictly meeting the above criteria will be invited for a test and/or panel interview(s).
Employment Type:
- Employment will be on a contractual basis for three years (renewable at the Bank’s discretion).
- Selected candidates will receive a compensation package and benefits as per Bank’s policies/rules.
