🔐 Position Overview: Head of Application Security

Location: Karachi

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented security professional who can lead application security initiatives, align security strategies with business goals, and ensure the protection of critical digital assets.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or Engineering.

Certifications (Preferred):

• OSCP – Offensive Security Certified Professional
• GWEB – GIAC Web Application Defender

💼 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments of applications including web, cloud, mobile, and APIs using both manual and automated techniques.
• Perform security architecture reviews and risk assessments at both design and deployment stages.
• Use threat modeling to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in application systems.
• Recommend and implement security improvements, aligning them with risk ranking frameworks.
• Integrate security tools and protocols into the development pipeline.
• Develop and lead an organization-wide application security strategy.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and protocols such as SOAP, REST, and GraphQL APIs.
• Apply knowledge of OWASP standards, network protocols, covert channels, and data on the wire for practical security solutions.

📈 Experience Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Hands-on expertise in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) for:

  • Web applications
  • Mobile applications
  • APIs
  • Network infrastructure
  • Thick client applications
